Look, we get it. You're probably thinking, "What the actual f***? We’re congratulating people on their divorces now? Seriously?" Especially in a world where everyone’s fighting for family values, this might seem... unconventional. But hear us out, because this story starts in the chaos of 2020, when COVID turned the world upside down.

Meet Sheira and Valeria, two sisters from Texas. Like so many during that time, we found ourselves reflecting on life—and bonding (okay, trauma-bonding) over our parents' divorce and how it shaped our relationships. Sheira, a badass marketing agency owner and graphic designer, couldn’t shake an idea: **"Officially Divorced."

It all clicked one night over dinner. Two of Sheira’s friends, married for decades, were going through nasty divorces. One of them couldn’t stop talking s*** about their ex—no accountability, no perspective, just pure venom. It reminded Sheira of our parents: two people who spent over 30 years together and couldn’t even be in the same room post-divorce. It was heartbreaking.

That night, Sheira’s inner empath took over. She started digging into divorce statistics, psychology, and the patterns that keep humans choosing the wrong partners. Did you know 50% of marriages in America end in divorce? Or that marriage began as a contract, not a love story? People keep marrying despite the odds, and Sheira couldn’t stop wondering: How can we help people heal and break these cycles?

At first, Sheira wanted to channel her no-BS attitude into creating a brand that combined humor with healing. But as someone in a "happily married" relationship at the time, launching Officially Divorced felt hypocritical. So, she shelved the idea. Valeria and Sheira dove into another business venture, and life moved on.

Fast forward to 2023: Sheira’s 10-year marriage came crashing down after discovering her husband’s affair. Suddenly, she found herself in the exact place she’d once observed—her mom’s, her friends’, and countless others—standing at the crossroads of heartbreak and new beginnings. But instead of letting bitterness take over, Sheira chose to focus on healing, accountability, and celebrating the opportunity to start fresh.
And just like that, Officially Divorced was back on the table. This time, it wasn’t just an idea—it was a mission.

Phase 1 is here: a shop filled with gag gifts to bring humor to the hardest times. Because if we can laugh, we can heal.
Phase 2 will introduce our healing journal—a space to process, reflect, and rebuild.
Phase 3 Inshallah, a dating app for healed, happy divorced people who are ready for a fresh start.

We’re not just here to celebrate divorce; we’re here to celebrate the resilience, growth, and freedom that comes after it. Whether you’re divorced, supporting someone who is, or just here for the laughs, welcome to Officially Divorced. Because life’s too short to dwell on the past—and way too long not to laugh at it.
